chapter 3; Crystal Contin.

As we go further into the book crystal a issue has come across crystal and her family and its not something that she can easily solve because it doesn't ultimately deal with her. Her parents are constantly arguing about her being a model well more so her father because he is up right most against it, after all who wants daddy's little girl to be a model when they do not know what she is doing as a model. But crystal's mother feels differently about the situation; she feels as if crystal is old enough to make a few decisions on her own, to become a little more independent. After all you cant always depend on your parents to make every choice for you. Crystal on the other hand does feel guilty for not telling her father and does not know how to bring it to his attention of her not telling him. She feels as if she should tell him what her modeling is all about but then what would he think of her then, how would he feel for her not being honest and telling him the truth. Crystal fears that her parents will soon grow apart due to her modeling and the fighting, Crystal has no idea where to turn

chapter 3; Crystal

In this chapter, things got a little heated between crystal's father and mother! Which in this case the arguement that they had was very typical and normal for any married couple when their daughter is modeling for someone and the father doesn't really know whom she is modeling for and what she is modeling for. The father has a huge spat with the mother how he is not okay with his daughter modeling because he feels as if she can do something beneficial with her time other than modeling. When crystal here's her parents arguing she has a moment where she actually takes a step aside and wonders if her father is right and what would he really think of her if he knew what she was modeling for. What would you think of your daughter modeling the way crystal models???

Crystal Continued...

As i read further into the book it got a little more interesting. Crystal is trying to open as many doors as she possibly can to expand her career. Although when something is thrown her way Loretta does not want Crystal being in anyway shape or form involved with a television commercial. Crystal becomes a little more curious to why Loretta thinks otherwise of her being in a television commercial. Loretta says that her reasoning for not wanting Crystal to do that commercial is because if she does choose to do that television commercial she would not be able to do modeling anymore because then they would always want her to doing commercials. But Crystal doesn't seem to think its a bad idea, Crystal looks at it as a opportunity to get her face out there and open doors.
The question is why does Loretta really not want Crystal to have any chance she can have to be exploited in the television business??

Crystal, Chpt. 1

This book starts off in a church of a girl named crystal in a choir. Now all seems to be good as if she's a good girl and she's all that a person could ask for in a daughter, although when the church scene is over it comes to her talking with a woman named Loretta that wants crystal for a photo shoot. Now thinking of a church girl that is still in school which everyone assumes is still making A's and B's but has now down graded to the average of C's is never assumed to be taking a photo shoot that would not be respectfully done. Although in this book Crystal is taken as if a normal trashy girl that eploites her self in a disrespectful way but Crystal is in for something new when the photographer Jerry Goodwin asks her to do something that she has never done before with a man that she knows nothing about. Nevertheless she is sent to the dressing room where she meets Rowena who is another model that comes out with all the stops, someone that comes off as a trashy girl that is willing to do anything to have her way or get what she wants. When Crystal is put in her first photo shoot with Jerry Goodwin they walk on all four as if they were tigers in a jungle background. Something that Crystal has never done and is uncomfortable doing. Although Rowena has no problem in showing Crystal how its done....

Chpt. 3 "After Alex"

This chapter really spoke caught my eye because this chapter deals with a girl that deal with a unfaithful companion, so i felt it related to me in so many ways as well as it could relate to other guys and girls. Everyone has at least dealt with one relationship where someone has been unfaithful.

And in this story the young girl named alex tries to pull her what we call an ex back into her life because she has done wrong which in any other relationship it would go the same way as if it had occurred.

grl2grl: chpt. 2 (Can't Stop The Feeling)

This chapter was very interesting to me, it talks about a girl named mariah who has the issue in identifying with her being the way that she is and does not want anyone to know about her being the way she is and that is gay.  She is a girl in band and has a group called the "Gay/Straight Alliance" and wants to join but does not know how to bring it to others attention, she is afraid of what others may think of her being who she is!!! How will they ever except her for who she is, how will she ever identify with who she is by not taking the first step and acknowledging who she really is........

I love this chapter because he gives you a lesson to be who you are and not hide behind something that your not or to make others think of something other of what your not.....lesson of the day!!!! Be who you are!!!!!

"Passengers" (1st. chpt.)

The first chapter of the book called "grl2grl" is a very interesting chapter, not only does this book make you want to read more and more by the minute but its a book that you don't want to put down. Reading its first chapter is about a girl named Tamlyn "Tam" who always rides the train everyday to school and there is a girl named Andrea "Andi" although they don't classify her as a girl but a dyke or a stude. someone who dresses as if she were a boy, although here's the catch she wears lipstick not red lipstick but a brutal nasty red.
I found this chapter really interesting because Tam found a interest in Andi although they have never spoken and have seen each other everyday for years and finally have spoken. The conversation that the two characters have is very interesting to me. I feel as if that Tam is finding a little interest in Andi but is either afraid of what her friends think or does not know how to tell her how she thinks of her, still need to read more and find out what happens next.................
